Every non-believer asks, "so are you religious?"
Next time they ask you that, respond with this question; "Are you a mammal?"
Can you see the problem yet, with that loaded question?
Both questions contain a B R O A D term.
TOO BROAD to mean anything. If we keep the discussion at this broad level, then if someone says, "yes" to being a mammal, you wouldn't know if they were a rat, or a dog or a cow, or a pig, if you were reading a transcript that said, "it was a mammal".
The thing about being a mammal, is that it only means you are warm blooded.
So the answer to the question, "are you a mammal?" should be answered like this; "Yes, but I am something MORE SPECIFIC than a mammal, called a HUMAN, which means I am nothing like rats or dogs or pigs."
In the same way Christians should say, "yes I am religious but I am nothing like a muslim or buddhist or hinduist because the New Testament says the spirit of God is given only to those that accept the gospel meaning specifically I am a real christian."
Jesus Himself said, "I am the way the truth and the life nobody comes to the Father except through me".
This means the only way to receive the Holy Spirit, is through belief in Jesus Christ. Having God's spirit is unique to faith in Christ as the bible says, meaning no other "religionist" that is not Christian, can have God's spirit, meaning you cannot get an understanding of what it means to be a genuine Christian, from looking at people that are "religious" but not Christian. (because those people have not experienced what the bible calls, "the life of God" and are regarded as the "natural" person, that, "thinks spiritual things are foolishness" because they "don't have God's spirit."
So I have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN COMMON with people that believe unjustified religious, false beliefs such as believing in allah or being buddhist or any other "religion", just like I have absolutely nothing in common with mice or pigs or cats and dogs.
CHECKMATE.
P.S. The argument, "God is religion" by atheists, it also a silent begging-the-question fallacy because it PRESUMES God originated from a religious creed/idea. In fact all of the design that exists in life, existed before any human being, since animals were created before man, so if that design comes from God, how can God come from religion if there weren't any humans to create religion at the time God created life and the universe?
Atheists first need to prove their false premise that, "God was invented".
